RECIPES.

Cooking is one of my absolute favourite past times. From delectable sweet treats and savoury snacks, to healthy meals, I’ve spent a lot of my spare time in the kitchen, trying to create healthy, tasty and simple dishes that can be enjoyed – guilt free.

Food is meant to be enjoyed and I truly believe that eating and making healthier choices does not mean depriving yourself. Food does not have to be repetitive, boring or expensive. I am not a fan of 20+ ingredient lists that often include the most bizarre ingredients that even Instagram hasn’t heard of. I promise all the ingredients I use in my recipes can be found at all local supermarkets – no fancy health stores needed!

Its all about being creative, making easy and simple substitutes that *might* be unhealthy when consumed in excess.

I’m a HUGE advocate of meal planning, meal prepping and batch cooking because it takes the hassle out of thinking, ‘what shall I have this evening?’, or, ‘what am I going to eat for lunch on Thursday?’. Not only that, but it means I enjoy the time I spend in the kitchen because I know exactly what I’m going to be cooking. No stressing about not having all the ingredients!

It helps me stick to, and compliments my fitness and body goals (that’s a topic for another time) and saves a couple of £££’s. I always write a shopping list before hitting the supermarket because it ensures I stick to what I actually need, as opposed to what I think I need – that’s why I’ll always include an ingredients list so you can add these to your weekly shops too!

Not every recipe I’ve created has turned out perfect. There have been many failed, flat and questionable bakes, but also some absolutely delicious ones. My Apple & Blueberry Protein Loaf is definitely up there in my top 3 all time favourites.

It’s not about getting it right the first time round, the enjoyment comes from making mistakes, and then adjusting the recipes accordingly.

Please have a browse, give them a go, and if you do make any of the recipes, post and tag me on Instagram. I’d love to be able to see some of my homemade bakes appear elsewhere!
